Chief Executive Officer

Paul F. Schultheis

Mr. Schultheis graduated from California State University at Los Angeles with a B.S. Degree in Management Science and from Pepperdine University with an M.B.A. In addition, he has taken numerous graduate and management courses at California State University at Los Angeles, Caltech Industrial Relations Institute and the University of Michigan. Mr. Schultheis has taught management courses at Caltech Industrial Relations Institute and Pepperdine University Graduate School of Business.

Prior to entering the real estate field, Mr. Schultheis spent ten years in the electric utility industry, working in various corporate staff positions for the Southern California Edison Company. His final position with this firm was that of Manager of Corporate Planning, in which he gained considerable experience in long-range planning, budgeting and economic forecasting.

From 1976 to 2004, Mr. Schultheis devoted full time to real estate, specializing in the acquisition, syndication, development and sale of income property and managing venture capital invested by both individuals and institutions. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of RPI Services, Inc., as well as Managing Partner of Strategic Resource Group, a non-profit organization that he founded in 2000. He has acted as General Partner on numerous real estate projects, and has syndicated residential, commercial and medical office projects in Southern California and Arizona. Mr. Schultheis has been a licensed real estate agent.

President

Amy R. Smith   

Amy Smith graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations and an emphasis in Marketing Practices.

Amy has been with RPI since 1992. She has held roles as Marketing Manager, Financial Manager, Vice President of Finance and Chief Operating Officer. She has experience in all management functions relating to asset management and investor relations, including strategic planning, budget forecasting, real estate finance and transaction coordination, document drafting and management, financial and operational analysis, personnel management, personnel development, tax planning, as well as all aspects of the day-to-day management of multifamily investments.

Amy is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Multi-housing Association and is a licensed real estate agent.

Vice President, Operations

Gina K. Picicci   

Gina Picicci has been employed with Real Property Investment Services, Inc. (RPI) for 22 years.

She has taken courses from the Building Owners and Managers Institute International (Real Property Administrator program), and has membership in the Society of Property Professionals.

Gina has experience in many aspects of the commercial and residential property management industry. Previous positions held have included Facilities Manager, Property Manager, Asset Manager, Assistant Vice President, Regional Manager, and Human Resource Manager. Current responsibilities include oversight of daily operations at apartment communities, leadership of the corporate team members, conflict resolutions, and risk management. Gina has worked with RPI in Pasadena, California, Flagstaff, Arizona and Lawrence, Kansas.

Assistant Vice President, Sales

Brenda Klein   

Brenda Klein obtained her AA/AS from Allen Hancock Junior College in Santa Maria, California.

She spent 8 years with Holiday Inn where her duties included front desk and receivables, as well as some group sales.

During her 14 years with RPI, Brenda has held positions as Property Manager, Advertising Director and is currently Assistant Vice President. Her responsibilities include creating and implementing our sales and marketing strategy, coordination of advertising, web site maintenance, training and evaluation of sales staff, coordination of corporate and summer rental program, and acting as our in-house apartment locator.

Assistant to the President

Shelley Anne Boyer   

Shelley Boyer has 7 years experience in finance and accounting; including 5 years in the property management industry, working with RPI in both California and Arizona.

Shelley is currently in the process of obtaining her Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance and plans to graduate in 2009.

Her responsibilities currently include maintaining partnership and corporate documentation; corresponding with investors, lenders, attorneys and CPAs; processing sale, purchase, and refinance transactions; software implementation and training; budgeting, auditing, tax and estate planning; forecasting; and cash management. Shelley has also held the position of Assistant Controller and Controller with daily oversight and management of the accounting department and its functions.

Facilities Manager

Gary Wilcox   

Gary Wilcox spent five years in the Air Force after high school and has two years of post secondary education.

His work experience includes working as a locksmith before joining RPI as a Maintenance Supervisor, working both residential and commercial properties. Gary left RPI for a while to operate a contracting business refurbishing houses.

Gary has been employed by Cushman & Wakefield, supervising the office, mailroom and maintenance staff, and Johnson Controls as a planner scheduler and facilities manager. He returned to RPI in 2004 as Facilities Manager responsible for recommending and implementing facilities policies an procedures and monitoring compliance thereto.
